Prehnite with Epidote

Some of the best Prehnite specimens to hit the market in a while are those that have been found in Mali going back to the early 2000s. These specimens are some of the nicest gem quality Prehnites that I've seen from any locality. This specimen host several of fine, gemmy, beautiful green color spherical aggregates of Prehnite associated with dark brownish-green, prismatic Epidote crystals to create a very showy and three-dimensional piece. The Prehnite "balls" have thousands of very sharp micro terminations all over them, and this specimen is gemmy enough to facet some nice gemstones. The largest Prehnite sphere measures 2.2 cm across. Excellent condition, only a few small blemishes on the bottom where it detached from the pocket wall. A very attractive specimen of a species that is often overlooked by collectors. Valued at $950 in the inventory.
