Prehnite with Epidote

These attractive and soon to be classic specimens started coming out in the early 2000s. Various localities in the Kayes Region in Mali have produced some of the most attractive, displayable and abundant specimens of Prehnite often associated with Epidote ever found. These pieces often feature fine green color spherical groups in pleasingly aesthetic specimens. This piece is a showy and three-dimensional small cabinet filled with attractive "water green" color, translucent, spherical groups of Prehnite which are sitting on dark greenish-brown, thick prismatic crystals of Epidote. The Prehnite group at the top of the specimen measures 2.2 cm across. The piece is in good shape, though the bottom left section has some interrupted growth or a contact where it grew against the pocket wall. Overall it's a very presentable and good quality example of what will be some of the most well-known and iconic Prehnite specimens from any world locality.
