Prehnite with Chrysocolla (rare association)

These elusive and unique specimens certainly have been few and far between over the past 10+ years. We almost never seen them on the market, and you really can only find them in private collections. This is a notably rare association, and to the best of my knowledge, it's the only known occurence of Prehnite with Chrysocolla in China, and mabye anywhere else in the world. This specimen features groups of medium green color aggregates of Prehnite associated with semi-spherical groups of dark greenish-blue color Chrysocolla on matrix. This locality hasn't produced anything of note recently, so don't miss out on the chance to pick it up, as it would make an esoteric addition to any Chinese suite, or a collection of worldwide Prehnites. From the collection of Kurt Hefendehl (#507 C), a well-known German collector all over Europe with worldwide contacts to dealers and collectors. He started collecting seriously at the age of 14 and his great and varied worldwide collection reached over 6000 pieces. He was very active mineralogically until shortly before his passing in 2020 at the age of 82. Considering his collection had a large number of pieces, it still had an unusually high standard of quality from most worldwide localities. He particularly specialized in all classics as well as minerals of the Black Forest, where he spent much time collecting. His Black Forest and German subcollections went to his good friend Wolfgang Wendel.
