Prehnite with Calcite

Item Description

This classic trap rock locality is one of the most impressive (and under appreciated) Zeolite localities in the world. This quarry has produced some amazing specimens in the last 100 years, including some of the finest Prehnites in the world. This particular specimen is a fantastic group of fine green color spherical aggregates of Prehnite on with notably sharp and well-formed white to colorless scalenohedra of Calcite. The largest Prehnite "ball" measures 1.0 cm and the largest Calcite crystal measures 2.7 cm long. Rarely does one encounter such good quality display specimens like this with great visual appeal.
