Prehnite with Calcite

The Goboboseb Mountains in the Erongo Region of Namibia have been producing a good number of fine crystallized specimens for a couple decades, including some of the best quality and most striking examples of Prehnite from any contemporary locality. This small cabinet specimens features attractive, somewhat spherical groups of eye-catching green Prehnite measuring up to 1.5 cm across, associated with white Calcite on volcanic rock matrix. There is decent translucency in the Prehnite groups when backlit, and they are for the most part, damage free, save the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. There are some damaged areas to the Calcites, but overall the piece is in pretty good shape, but certainly not damage-free.
