Classic and excellent prehnite with epidote from historic La Combe de la Selle in France, which has produced some of the finest examples of the species. An impressive 3.8 cm cluster of classic helmet-shaped, pistachio-green, lustrous and transluent crystals dominates the amphibolite matrix plate. A band of flat-lying epidote prisms (to 1.3 cm), a striking 1.3 cm cluster of jauntily angled upright glassy epidote prisms along with smaller prehnites really enhances the pieces and makes for an exceptional and aesthetic combination.
