Prehnite w/ Apophyllite (2 generations) (uncommon)

Item Description

Two generations of apophyllite crystals on prehnite botryoids highlight this rare, colorful and adorable combination from this well-known Connecticut traprock quarry. The pretty mint-green, waxy luster, translucent prehnites are accented with contrasting clusters of snow-white drusy apophyllites and a few scattered glassy, textbook, tetragonal, colorless apophyllites, to 5 mm. Prehnite with apophyllite combinations are rare from here and this an exceptional combination.
