Item Description
Some of the best examples of Prehnite gems are those from New South Wales, Australia. The "Rectangle Step" cut gem in this rough and cut set is a classic Australian stone with a lovely yellow-green hue and beautiful "silky" internal appearance. The accompanying specimen in the set is actually from an "Alpine"-type deposit in Pakistan and features vitreous "clam shell"-shaped group of "water green" colored Prehnite that actually look very similar to the classic specimens from La Combe de la Selle, Bourg d'Oisans, Isere, Rhone-Alpes, France. Together they make a great set, even if they're from opposite sides of the world.
