Item Description

An excellent, jackstraw cluster of lustrous, translucent, pretty sea-green, prehnite pseudomorphing laumontite stalks from the famous Malad quarries near Bombay. The stalks have colorful green translucence and you can see that some of them are hollow. This is easily one of the better prehnite pseudos after laumontite in this size range, that we have offered from this extinct locale. It appears to be a pristine floater. The quarries were closed due to population growth. Older material from the 1980s. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
