A stuninng and RARE two-sided pseudomorph combination from the famous New Jersey traprock quarry. Two generations of RARE ivory colored Laumontite blades along with strikingly contrasting brown oxides dramatically drape the pseudomorph. The dramatic form of the intergrown fingers of translucent, mint-green prehnite crystals replacing glauberite crystals looks like a horse with a well-defined head and front legs! The broken "leg" reveals the hole tube where the glauberite once was and where the precipitating fluids flowed. This well-known quarry opened in 1901 and operated into the early 2000s. The quarry pit is being filled in for future housing. A rare and exceptional Prospect Park pseudo combination. A must for the locality or species collector!
