A large "finger" of prehnite crystals dominates this sculptural 360-degree small cabinet pseudomorph with RARE accessories from this famous New Jersey traprock quarry. Lustrous, translucent, rich mint-green, densely intergrown prehnite crystals have replaced numerous anhydrite crystals. Laumontite is rare from Prospect Park and two-generations of clusters and isolated white prisms with contrasting brown oxides are aesthetically scattered on the piece. The basal attachment reveals the hollow areas where the anhydrite once was and where the prehnite precipitating fluids flowed. This well-known quarry opened in 1901 and operated into the early 2000s. The quarry pit is being filled in for future housing. A rare and exceptional Prospect Park pseudo combination. A must for the locality or species collector! valued $1200-1500
