Item Description

Juicy, translucent, spherical aggregates of mint-green, bladed prehnite have pseudomorphed a sculptural cluster of elongated anhydrite crystals. Two clusters of small calcite rhombs on prehnite on the left are a nice accent. The periphery wear and broken base reveals the hollow tubes, where the precipitating fluids flowed and the hollow spaces, where the anhydrite blades were dissolved away. Nifty, classic two-sided material from the famous Traprock quarries at Paterson.
