Prehnite on Quartz var: Amethyst and Smoky

What a showy and aesthetic display piece featuring a wonderful, translucent "water green" colored semi-spherical group of Prehnite beautifully sitting on the side of a highly lustrous, gemmy, well-formed, single prismatic hexagonal crystal of Quartz with gentle Amethyst and Smoky color zoning. There are a few minor imperfections, so the piece is not completely pristine, but it's so eye-catching that any small flaw is not truly notable. I love these kind of specimens where a species is perched on a single Quartz crystal, and despite the fair number of pieces to come out of the Goboboseb Mountains, this particular style is not easy to find. A beautiful specimen of what are some of the best and most well-known Quartz crystals in the modern era of mineral collecting.
