These are some of the most distinctive and easily recognizable Prehnite specimens from the modern age of mineral collecting. A spherical, rather lustrous, translucent, green group of Prehnite is perched on white Quartz crystal matrix. The "sphere" is actually dozens of "clamshell"-shaped aggregates intergrown to form the spherical shape. The Prehnite measures 1.6 cm across, and has excellent bright color for the material. A lovely and worthwhile large thumbnail / small toenail sized specimen of this contemporary classic material. A beautiful display specimen with excellent quality and aesthetics.
