Prehnite on Quartz (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

These are some of the most distinctive and easily recognizable Prehnite specimens from the modern age of mineral collecting. A pair of spherical, rather lustrous, translucent, green groups of Prehnite are perched on white Quartz crystal matrix. The "spheres" are actually dozens of "clamshell"-shaped aggregates intergrown to form the spherical shape. The largest Prehnite measures 2.1 cm across, and has excellent bright color for the material. A lovely and worthwhile large miniature / small cabinet sized specimen of this contemporary classic material. A beautiful display specimen with excellent quality and aesthetics.
