Prehnite on Epidote - fine TN

Item Description

This is a cute and well-balanced large thumbnail (toenail) specimen of Prehnite on Epidote from Kayes region of Mali. Pale, lime green botryoids of Prehnite grace a stout portion of a dark green epidote crystal for the ultimate contrast. The Prehnite spheres occur as two relatively tight aggregates each composed of several 0.5 to 1 cm, translucent Prehnite spheres perched on the dark Epidote for a great composition. Many large specimens of these combos came out a few decades ago, but not many were in this size class and this is an attractive toenail that displays well and has no damage. Rare in this quality for the size, this is a perfect little jewel for the occurrence.
