Item Description
This piece dates back to the early 2000s, when these impressive and beautiful display quality specimens of Prehnite with Epidote started coming out of the Kayes Region of Mali. You can't call these specimens "new" anymore, but they are still some of my favorite Prehnite specimens on the market. This particular specimen hosts good quality, attractive, gemmy, water-green color spherical aggregates of Prehnite sitting on dark brownish-green Epidote crystals to form an eye-catching display piece. The largest Prehnite "ball" measures 1.8 cm across. The piece is nearly a complete "floater" as the Prehnites are undamaged, and nearly all of the Epidote crystals are doubly-terminated and complete. There are really only a few spots of incomplete growth on the piece.
