Prehnite on Epidote

Item Description

A good association specimen from these well-known finds in the early 2000s in Mali. These discoveries produced some of the most well-known and significant pieces of Prehnite (often with associated Epidote) in recent memory. This piece features a few spherical, lovely green color Prehnite "balls" sitting atop an aesthetic group of crystallized dark brown-green Epidote prisms. The largest Prehnite "ball" measures 1.6 cm in diameter. The Prehnites are gemmy/translucent, and they light up with that glowing green color when backlit. No damage on the front/display side, but there are a few separation marks on the Epidote where the piece was removed from the pocket wall.
