Some of the best new prehnite specimens to hit the market in a while are those that have been recently found in Mali. These specimens are some of the nicest gem quality prehnites that I've seen from any locality. This aesthetic specimen consists of a 2.2 cm, gemmy, sea-green spherical aggregate of prehnite artistically set on a crossed pair of lustrous, partially translucent, olive-green epidote crystals. The large epidote is doubly terminated. Complete all-around with only trivial edgewear. A very attractive and highly displayable floater specimen of combination species that are often overlooked in the mineral world.
