Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, knobby aggregates of mint-green prehnite blades totally cover the sculptural curved basalt crust arch on this very showy and rich old-timer from this long extinct Farmington trap rock quarry. Undoubtedly from the old Farmington Trap Rock Quarry, that was active until the early 1930s. From an East Coast collection and comes with a faded, water-stained and torn century-old label. Old-time specimens of this quality are uncommon from this locale.
