Prehnite (''finger''-shaped formations) (LARGE specimen)

Item Description

An unusual Prehnite specimen from the metamorphic contact zones in Baluchistan. The piece is loaded with "water green" color, "fingers" of Prehnite measuring up to 3.3 cm tightly intergrown, and sitting atop minor matrix. At first, I thought these might be casts after another species, but upon close inspection at some of the broken "fingers" on of the piece, they are solid Prehnite throughout, and have formed in elongated radiating structures. The piece itself is very attractive and unlike any Prehnite I have seen from any world locality. This piece was mined in 2003, and I have not seen many of them on the market in that period of time. A great piece for any collector with an interest in "Alpine"-type minerals, or unusual colorful display specimens.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the size and weight of this specimen, it will require an additional shipping charge.
