Prehnite (ex Charlie Key Collection)

Item Description

An attractive display specimen from an unnamed outcroup in Southern Namibia. Beautiful soft blue-green botryoidal groups of Prehnite measuring up to 2.7 cm across free of matrix. The Prehnites have good color, and are translucent when backlit and even gemmy on the base / back where the color is actually better. The piece is solid Prehnite, and despite the fact that the periphery is contacted due to being removed from the pocket wall, it's actually beautiful to view from the bottom. Ex. Charlie Key specimen, and Charlie is a big Prehnite admirer who assembled a large subcollection of the material. An uncommon piece from an obscure locality that would make a great addition to your collection.
