Item Description

Excellent prehnite from this historic French locale. The sculptural elongated small cabinet is composed of tightly intergrown classic "helmet" or "clamshell" shaped crystals. The lustrous, translucent crystals are a rich mint-green and reach 1.2 cm. A dusted accessory has yellowish-white fluorescence. A fine example from the Kay Robertson Collection # 11988 and obtained from French dealer Alain Carion at the MSSC Show in 1989. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
