Prehnite casts after Anhydrite on Datolite (old classic)

Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, pretty mint-green, intergrown, spherical aggregates of prehnite blades have pseudomophed large anhydrite blades on this very sculptural large specimen from one of the numerous traprock quarries in the Paterson area. The large blade on the end is impressive. The prehnites in the front rest on a bed of glassy, colorless datolite crystals. Undoubtably older material, but no proof. Very fine combination material from this classic New Jersey locale. Valued at $1250 for high combination quality.
