Item Description

Prehnite specimens are uncommon from this old obscure South African locale and this is a sculptural example. Frosted, translucent, pretty mint-green, bladed crystal aggregates that formed as casts after calcite rhombs compose this dramatic piece. The piece looks like an antique frilled shoe or slipper when viewed on the very flat base, or like a nifty fan when viewed vertically. Excellent and rare in this quality large material.
