Item Description

Prehnite specimens are uncommon from this obscure South African locale. This thin crust with elevated areas along the edges is composed of frosted, translucent, pretty mint-green, bladed crystal aggregates that formed as casts after calcite rhombs. The upright clusters really accentuate this showy piece. Pristine. The piece has a very flat base, indicating that the specimen grew against a large sharp crystal. Excellent material.
