Prehnite cast after Calcite (uncommon old locale)

Item Description

Prehnite specimens are uncommon from this obscure South African locale. This large, thin crust is composed of frosted, translucent, pretty mint-green, bladed crystal aggregates that formed as a cast after calcite. The upright cluster really accentuates this showy piece. You can barely tell, that part of the projecting cluster is lightly bruised. The base has been sawed to enhance the display. Excellent material.
