Prehnite Carving, Turtle

Item Description

Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This particular piece feature a well carved turtle with good detail. Considering the color, it's the perfect choice to have a turtle carved from this unique material. The dark spots on the piece are Epidote crystals.
