Prehnite Carving, Squirrel

Item Description

Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This particular piece is a well carved little squirrel with good detail. It's one of the larger carvings we've offered of this material, and perhaps the only squirrel as I don't remember another one.
