Prehnite (beautiful form and color)

The Merelani Hills are the source of the world-famous Tanzanite crystals, but they also produce a good mount of other minerals, with beautiful and sometimes unique colors/crystallizations. There are multiple styles of Prehnite found in this area, all with their own distinctive appearance. This miniature specimen is a beautiful crystallized group of flowing, slightly curved bladed aggregates, with a tiny bit of attached Graphite on the back. When backlit, the colors range from green and yellow in the center to more of a soft blue tone on the exterior edges. I can't remember seeing a Prehnite quite like this from any other locality, and the mixture of colors with the gorgeous overall form (and no damage), make it a very appealing specimen for any fan of minerals from this famed mining area.
