Item Description

An impressive and classic large compound prehnite hemisphere from the well-known basalt deposits of the Goboboseb Mountains. The imposing 5.5 cm ball and it's smaller neighbor are composed of pretty pastel-green, translucent, densely intergrown prehnite blades. The prehnites rest on a sculptural basalt matrix covered with glassy quartz crystals. From the Charlie Key Collection, a prominent deceased mineral dealer. An exceptional, well-composed prehnite and quartz combination from the famous locale.
