Prehnite and Epidote (ex Obodda)

A 2.5 cm, glowing, mint-green prehnite ball is expertly attached to a 3.5 cm doubly terminated epidote crystal on this aesthetic combination floater specimen from Mali. Pristine, except for contacting, with trivial brusing on one end of the large epidote. The recent 2011 Mineralogical Record article on mineral collecting in Mali highlights the major finds. Note it is not cleaned, and still has some surface dirt attached that can be removed by boiling in oxalic acid or iron out
