Prehnite and Calcite

This traprock locality is/was one of the most impressive Zeolite localities in the world, with the quarry having produced many amazing specimens during the last 100 years. This particular small cabinet specimen is rich in lustrous, two-tone, apple-green Prehnite, and it is in combination with several Calcites to 1.2 cm. Calcite and Prehnite combination pieces from the famous Prospect Park Quarry always have been, and always will be, in demand. This is especially true since the Prospect Park Quarry has been filled in in favor of a housing development, and remains nothing more than a memory save for wonderful, 3-dimensional Prehnite specimens like this.
