Item Description

Very fine, classic combination piece from the Goboboseb Mountains in Namibia. The superb Prehnites are in two related habits: wheel-shaped clusters and inverted wheels where you actually have the center of the wheel at the top like a cone. Unusual, but very distinctive and attractive. The Prhenites have good luster, attractive mint-green color, and are translucent. The largest Prehnite is 2 cm across, which is impressive in and of itself. These are intergrown with partially gemmy Calcites that are sharp, euhedral, and up to 1 cm tall. Naturally, the Calcites along the perimiter are cleaved where they were once attached. Charlie loved Prehnite and had a large subcollection of the material.
