Item Description

A 2.5 cm prehnite "finger" dominates this sculptural and excellent small cabinet from this less well-known New South Wales locality. The stalactitic finger and surrounding prehnite knobs on the massive prehnite matrix are composed of nubby, lustrous, translucent, straw-yellow prehnite crystals. The periphery wear reveals the radial growth of the prehnite knobs. Showy prehnite from the Allen Dillwith Collection of Texas.
