Prehnite

Prehnite has been used in a lapidary capacity for years, but it's not easy to find clean, transparent material. The stones are popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. The fine quality Prehnite specimens from Mali have resulted in some find cabbing and carving material. These stones have unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance when they're polished. This gem has an "Oval Cabochon" cut with wonderful internal gemminess. Considering this is relatively new material, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.
