Some of the best Prehnite specimens to hit the market in a while are those that have been found in Mali in the last decade or so. These specimens are some of the nicest gem quality Prehnites that I've seen from any locality. This specimen consists of translucent green color spherical aggregates of Prehnite in a beautiful three-dimensional group. The Prehnite has many micro terminations all over the "balls" and this specimen is almost gemmy enough to facet some nice gemstones. I think this is a very attractive specimen of a species that is often overlooked by collectors.
