Prehnite

Item Description

Prehnite is well known from the Oficarsa Quarry in fine quality display specimens, but little material is available these days. This is a bit more atypical as it features the classic spherical gemmy green Prehnite aggregates, but they are intergrowth with thin dark greenish-black prisms of what is either Diopside or Augite. The dual color balance along with the gemmy nature of the Prehnite gives the piece a very interesting appearance. Hard to photograph, better in person.
