Prehnite

Item Description

A lovely hemisphere of pistachio-green Prehnite resting on a thin plate of matrix. The cluster is composed of crystallized Prehnite fan sprays, with the terminations being rectangular and having good luster. In cross-section, where the cluster was contacted, you can see the highly lustrous, radial growth of the Prehnite fans. The Prehnite crystals really scintillate in that view. The fans average 2.4 cm in lenth, and they are remarkably uniform. This is a very fine, attractive specimen from an unusual locality, and easily the best Prehnite I have seen from there.
