Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved or cabbed, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This "Round Cabochon" cut gem has some very slight inclusions, which better than most when it comes to these stones This is a good size stone for the material, and considering it is relatively new, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.
