Prehnite

Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This gem is pretty good size for the material, and is VERY gemmy with minimal inclusions, which is NOT common for this material. It has an "Oval Cabochon" cut. Considering this is relatively new material, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.
