Prehnite

Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This "Round Cabochon" cut gem has some visible inclusions, which is par for the course when it comes to these stones, but there are some very clean areas. This is a good size stone and considering it is relatively new, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.
