Rich rust-red color with high porcelaneous luster on this old-time, RARE style massive precious opal vein section from this more obscure Queenland locality. Specimens shown in the MINDAT photo gallery for the locale are mostly classic rich blues with accessory hues. From an East Coast collection and comes with a century-old faded label.
