Opal is an incredibly diverse gem due to the fact that it's one of the few stones that looks just as attractive when it's crystal clear as it does when the stones are opaque. You can find stones with a solid consistent singular color all the way to gems that literally flash every color in the rainbow. This "Triangle Cabochon" cut gem is what is often called "Crystal Opal", with a white or colorless background hosting flashes of red, orange, yellow, green and blue which show up in reflected light. As you can see, the stone shows good color all over, and it's important to mention that this is a solid Opal, not a doublet or a triplet, which makes a difference when it comes to the value.
