Item Description
Powellite is the rarest and most desirable mineral from the famed basalts of the Deccan Traps of India. This aesthetic specimen features a 1.5 cm tall, sharp tetragonal crystal of highly lustrous and striated, gemmy, amber powellite dramatically set in a snow-white mordenite vug with two pearlescent stilbite blades. This is a beautiful and very fine example of the combination species. You can barely tell, that the tip of the powellite is (very) gently bruised. Bright yellow fluorescence. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection. valued $1000
