Powellite, Stilbite and Fluorapophyllite

Powellite is so rare, it is perhaps 1 in 1000 of what is found in pockets of minerals in India. It remains constantly rare, and few pockets are found that produce specimen quality such as we have here in nice combination with other species. Two intergrown, sharp, beautiful golden-amber dipyramidal powellite crystals, to 3.0 cm, are aesthetically set on the sculptural apophyllite with stilbite small cabinet matrix. The glassy, translucent, lustrous powellites are enhanced by the striated faces. The water-clear to translucent, colorless, glassy, blocky tetragonal apophyllites reach 3.8 cm and the 4.8 cm pearlescent, salmon-pink stilbite blade is an excellent typical accessory to this fine combination example from Nashik. Bright yellow fluorescence, as you would expect. Valued by the former dealer at $1800. This is an excellent example for size and price range.
