Powellite (rough and cut set)

Powellite is only found in a handful of places around the world in gem grade crystals. India has produced some of the finest crystallized Powellites extant, some of which are so gemmy that they have yielded some of the finest gemstones as a result. This set features a lovely "Modified Cut Corner Rectangle Brilliant" cut Powellite with only very very slight inclusions and is nearly colorless in hue. The accompanying specimen features a 2.5 cm, very sharp and well-formed, pseudocubic (tetragonal), rather lustrous and gemmy, group of pale yellow Powellite on peach-pink Stilbite matrix. Both members of this set are equally attractive and significant. Valued at $1800.
