Item Description
Powellite is an uncommon mineral species (a member of the Scheelite group), but it's a fairly rare collector's gem, only found in a handful of places around the world in transparent crystals. Over the last couple decades, India has produced some of the finest crystallized Powellites extant, some of which are so gemmy that they have yielded the finest and largest gemstones ever seen. This stone is a lovely "Modified Keystone" cut Powellite with only very slight inclusions and a virtually colorless purity. If you collect rare stones, this is a great gem to add to your collection, as they are much rarer on the market today than they were 20+ years ago. This gem was faceted by Robert Heath.
