Powellite (fluorescent) & Stilbite

A striking and jagged "mountain range" of highly lustrous, translucent, honey-brown tetragonal powellite crystals is very aesthetically set on pearlescent stilbite blades, that are partially accented with starkly contrasting green celadonite, a Mica Group species. The balance and form of this piece are outstanding on this very showy combination miniature from Nashik. Bruised powellites on the left side are noted, but are only a modest detraction to this very artistic and highly representative combination. BRIGHT variable yellow fluorescence under LW and SW UV light. A classic Nashik powellite specimen.
