Item Description

A really cool old time specimen of fine quality electric Turquoise colored Posnjakite. This uncommon copper sulfate is not often seen in fine quality display pieces, and this one is really attractive compared to others I've seen from Cornwall. It should be noted that the left side of the piece shows what appears to be a sharp crystal (or possibly a pseudomorph of Posnjakite after another mineral), but I'm pretty sure it's just a bit of host rock that coincidentally formed into the shape of a crystal. It is still a very rich display piece, and quite valuable as an old time Cornish specimen. It comes with a couple labels from Cal Graeber and Siegbert Zecha.
